I stare at boring green leaves 49 weeks in the year so I can enjoy these blossoms the remaining 3 weeks. Our first Iris bloomed yesterday - now I know spring is really here. These flowers makes me happy.

Oh, i love irises too! i can almost smell it from just looking at that picture...
I too LOVE Irises and your photo is particulary beautiful but, I can't stand to look at them empty of the beautiful flower most of the year. I truly enjoy them on other peoples yards. You should go to Longs Gardens in North Boulder sometime, and see the huge variety they grow.
