The faces of fall
Dave and I spent the past two weekends at my parent's cabin in the mountains. The leaves change earlier at the higher elevation so we feel like we get to experience fall twice - once in the mountains, and once in the city.
Those pictures are so pretty. I love fall, it just feels so cozy and full of good smells. If we could just get ride of summer here in VA I would be happy. We are still in the 90's and our leaves are turning a yucky brown instead of the beautiful colors in your pictures.
wish we could've been there with you guys! especially since last weekend the weather here was in the 90s. i would've given anything to be a bit chilly, and wear my uggs.
Yes it was glorious in the mountains in Silverthorne, Summit County, CO last weekend. I love the gold Aspen against the dark green pines.
And I FINALLY saw a moose a few houses down from our cabin. It was spotted by Gordon, Rand, and T going to Priesthood meeting. So Gordon's sister from Idaho, her 2 1/2 year old grandson, a niece, C and I jumped in the car, figured out where it went, and it crossed the road in front of our car. Huge moose with a very large rack of horns. Very exciting!!
We missed Sara and family and Yah Yah buried in taxes. 14 of us enjoyed the fall weekend in the mountains.

My favorite face of fall is...you in the blue hoodie. Made me laugh.

Oh that looks amazing! I'm so jealous you guys get up there so much. I like the frosty snow. I can't wait for it here! Well... after Sunday.
