Baby's first T

After our 20 week ultrasound yesterday we headed straight for the nearest baby store and Dave picked out the following T.

I think this is the shirt Dave would have picked regardless of the gender...but I do think our little BOY will look quite handsome in it!

Dave really wanted to buy our boy his first BB gun, or his first dirt bike, or his first puppy...but I talked him into a piece of clothing instead.

IT'S A BOY!

I'm sorry. I can't help it, I just love saying that. Even though I told my mom it was a boy 4 phone calls ago, I've caught myself blurting out "IT'S A BOY!" in each and every subsequent phone call with her.

Let's hope my boy doesn't end up in the ER as often as his dad did growing up due to: homemade firecracker accidents, bike accidents, snowboarding accidents, repelling from his bedroom window accidents, jumping down a flight of stairs accidents, and so on.

IT'S A BOY!

There I go again. I just can't help myself...

Oh I am so excited you guys are having a boy!!! Boys are great, but I really don't know any thing else, because that's all I have. They are so much fun, and trouble at the same time!!!! And yes, I too am worried about the ER visits. Amazingly we haven't had to go... yet!!!

Congratulations. All mothers need a little boy. That bond is something special.

Wahoo! Boys are fun.

What is it with boys and fire? Craig's parents took him to a burn victim unit when he was 10 so he would stop playing with fire.

I'm not looking forward to any more of the ER. I've been only once in my boys' 2 1/2 years and it was a nightmare.

thank goodness there wasn't a "big wheel at 7-11 accident." i don't think grandma heely could have handled it! :)

by the way, don't put that cute t-shirt in the dryer. oz had a ramones t just like it, and it now is a mottled mess. you can't even tell what it once said... and part of the graphic is now on one of his blankies.

Cosngrats, I think having a boy first is a lot of fun! I am sure Dave is more than thrilled to have a son!

Yay!! Boys are so fun! (of course I'm biased). I'm also worried about ER visits. Cal was a wild child, and I can already see it in Zach... Scary! But oh so fun. Congrats!!

I guess Dave is already trying to show me up. In the almost 3 years I have been a dad the thought to purchase either of my children any article of clothing has never crossed my mind.

It is going to be so much fun seeing our boys growing up together.

BTW, the ER isn't so bad.

Congratulations Dave and Carrie.

Hey we have only been to the ER once for Jack. Maybe some luck will be on your side.

Boys had so much excitment to your life. There never is a dull moment in our house with Jack and the three girls.

Congratulations you guys! Boys are wonderful. Despite the mess and disasters, I would never give up the experience of having a son.

By the way - having a boy 1st means all of your daughters will be corrupted. Jane follows Jacob like a disciple - giggling with glee. I see the look in her eyes that says "I never would have come up with this by myself, but I'll be delighted to join in!"

Woo hoo! Congratulations! I believe that every future father is secretly or maybe not so secretly relieved when they find out they are having a boy! You guys will be great parents!

P.S. Laura, I finally posted on your birthday blog!

tania's comment cracked me up. clearly she doesn't know dave very well... forget the 1st child... ALL your kids will be following their father around, laughing with glee at the trouble he will lead them into! stuff they never would have thought of themselves!
