April Fool's Day

I love April Fool's day. I've pulled the "I'm engaged" and "I'm pregnant" on my parents so many times, I've lost track. So now I'm looking for a new target. Luckily S finally gets what this day is all about. She's super excited to pull all kinds of tricks. Her poor teacher.

Carrie helped me come up with a great trick; instead of packing her regular lunch, I filled her lunchbox (yes, it's a Pokeball lunchbox) with the following items:
-a diaper
-a Pokemon card
-an old tennis ball
-a binky
-an empty Easter egg
-a tube of Chapstick (one with petroleum... I've thrown most of them away, but found this one in the junk drawer today. Hopefully she'll lose it at school.)
-an empty balloon
-a checker (red)
-a Simpsons toy we got from a Burger King happy meal that laughs in a very annoying way. I'm hoping this one doesn't make it back home, either.
-a pair of C's underpants

Man, I really wish I could be there when she opens it. I'll report back tomorrow...

Oh yes, I remember well a phone call in the middle of the night BEFORE the actual day of APRIL FOOLS when Sara was a 19 year old Sophomore "at the BYU" telling me, all excited, she was getting married to Bud, an old 26 or 27 year old RM. Then pulling the same trick in Moab with Travis, a year early BEFORE she had graduated or was even close.

Poor Scout. What is she supposed to eat for lunch??? She is such a fun little girl, she'll get a kick out of it.

Nothing like short sheeting a bed or making a sandwich with the only filling being a piece of paper with April Fools written on it. Your dad never thought either was funny.

Thank heavens!! I came back to this post and read your note you enclosed in her lunch box. Glad you put snack stuff in her backpack and told her she can buy lunch. Now I can sleep tonight.

Hope Gordon hasn't short sheeted the bed. It seems like every boyfriend you Lewis girls brought home to stay with us, got their bed short sheeted at least once.

So hilarious. The underpants are my favorite. She is going to die laughing. I can't wait to hear the report...and I can't wait to hear what tricks she comes up with.

Since she gets to eat school lunch, she'll wish everyday were April fools day.

I'm still waiting for another comment from "jumbo nana". How many names do you have???

April fools day is no longer fun since the year a gal at work and I put green foodcoloring in the milk and hid some client info and other tricks. The result was 2 coworkers cried and various other disasters. We were banned from all such antics since then - I think it was 2005!!!
