April First
April Fool's Day really snuck up on me this year... I didn't even think about it until 10 PM last night. Luckily, I had a stash of mini-marshmallows in the garage for an emergency just like this. I wish I could have pulled a similar stunt as last year, but she didn't have school lunch today and you can't buy it spontaneously at our new school. So I just packed a regular lunch, and then jammed as many marshmallows as possible in there and zipped it shut. I hope they explode all over the classroom when she opens it to get her snack.
I'm already planning ahead for next year... I'm thinking tons of superballs in their lunchboxes. Plus I like some of the ideas I saw over at Katie's blog. That colored milk trick is awesome! And I love the balloon idea.
Calder had a half day, so I couldn't pull the lunch joke on him. I did tell him he had a playdate today with his LEAST favorite person in the class today, but he just scowled at me and didn't find it very funny (he can be such a grouch!) He's going to Ada's April Fool's Birthday party later on, though, so I'm sure he'll get his fill of fake food and pranks!
