Today at the Denver Zoo in perfect weather, Carrie and I were discussing how much we enjoyed the comments on the Edward vs. Tim Riggins post. Thus, I'd like to kick off a new segment to the lewisgirls blog... the "Better Know A Reader Series" (inspired by none other than the lovely and talented Stephen Colbert). I will pose a thought-provoking question and you, dear readers, will answer. Let the fun begin.
In case you were wondering, here is who I'd pick between Edward and Tim:
Sorry, Sally. Edward would have had me a few months ago, but Tim Riggins has really turned a corner. As Carrie said, he's the new leader of the town. I love it.
Yesterday I got hit with the nastiest case of hives EVER. I'm unsure as to the cause... could be the horrible cold I've been nursing for a week now, or a reaction to the medicine I took for said cold, or the hot tub at the mountain house, or maybe the Bath and Body Works hand soap I used all over my body for two days because there wasn't any other soap to be found. At any rate, by yesterday evening I was ready to RIP THE SKIN FROM MY BODY it itched so bad. The worst spots, by far, are the hands and the feet. Can you imagine anything worse than the soles of your feet itching while you drive for 1.5 hours down the mountain? Last night I loaded up on Benadryl and slept like a baby, but today the hives were back. So I took only 1 Benadryl, which greatly reduced the itching but made me very, very, VERY drowsy. I was driving down to the zoo and felt like I was moving through honey, and trying to keep track of Crosby at the zoo was almost more than I could bear.
So the question for today is, Would you rather be itchy (incredibly itchy, not just minorly itchy) or very, very drowsy but have to still take care of your kids and function like normal.
Discuss.

I'd rather be tired and non-itchy.
I hate the feeling of staying awake when really drowsy, especially to care for kids, but I feel like I have more experience and skills in that area, so I'd take that for sure.
Itching is the worst. I had a time in my life where I got hives regularly. It was horrible. I got them after swimming in the BYU pool. I'm assuming it was a reaction to chlorine. Once I also got a huge, disfiguring one on my lip after a make session. It didn't go away for a long time.
As for you forsaking Edward, Sara, it just leaves more Edward for me (in a fictional character obsession, not leave my husband kind of way). And actually the decision was really easy because I've never seen or heard of Tim, thus making me immune to his lure.
It was a "make-out session" not simply a "make session"
I think I'd rather be itchy. I was so tired driving home yesterday I had the windows down and was pinching myself to stay awake. When we finally got home Brig was asleep so I went ahead and took a 30 minute nap sitting straight up in the driver seat, parked outside the house. Yes, that is how tired I was. It was awful enough for me to want the itch.
Tired. Definitely TIRED. The itching would drive me insane. I can handle tired.
Um....tired? Wow, don't even get me started but try 14 days doing tax returns for people who complain about what you bill them and who don't want to pay tax with the same people all day long with an average of 3 hours of sleep a night 7 days a week. Yep I know, the "finger violins" are going but I just had to vent for a second. I do know one thing, I'd rather be tired from a day at the zoo with my nieces, nephews, and sisters than tired from work.
I'm itching for some zzzzz's
I meant 14 hours days.
I meant 14 HOUR days. Holy smoke, this is ludicrous
I'll take tired over itchy. But if my children's lives are at stake because I can't keep them away from the lion at the zoo, I guess itchy. I can do quite a bit while tired, though. I learned that after having newborns.
p.s. I don't know who this Tim guy is. I guess I would have to pick Edward, though I actually prefer Jacob. I figure one could live a more normal life with a part-time werewolf than a "dead" vampire with control issues.
I'd rather be moving through honey. I liked that line best. Can I pick that one?
I'm tired anyway, so I would pick tired, because if I picked itchy I would be tired and itchy. Oh, wait you said really really drowsy, I get angry when I am that tired. So I pick itchy. I don't want to pick either. I'm not playing.
