Yet Another Reason to LOVE Target

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Target. I know a lot of people say that, but I REALLY love Target. I'd go there every day if I could, and I can't walk out of the store without dropping at least 200 bucks.

I went there yesterday with my two sick kids. S got the dreaded stomach virus after me, and C was sick with a horrible cold. It had been a long couple of days with both of them cranky and miserable, and I decided an outing to Target was just what we needed.

We walked in and headed straight for the Target Cafe, so the kids could get pizza and Icees. They had changed the flavors slightly since our last visit and were now featuring a Pepsi Icee! It's no Coke Slurpee, but hey, I'll take what I can get. Definitely the highlight of my week.

Ok so did they have a diet pepsi icee?

Why do you think we love Target so much? Man - its crazy, but I can't drive by one without thinking that I need something and even if I don't need something I stop b/c what if I lived in the Old Russia and it took six hours in line for gross bread?

Oh. Let's start having weekly dates at Target. It's my favorite place too.

When I need to get out of the house, but don't actually need to buy anything, I fill my cart with beautiful things, and then just park it in whatever aisle. It's satisfying just to be there.

thanks to the popularity of your blog, I had a brief discussion with Elizabeth and Brooke today at Cabrini. the topic was coke slurpee. does it feel good to know you are contributing to interesting conversations in brooklyn? of course it would have been preferable had you been there (aww), but we'll take what we can get I guess.

scout, when you come up here let's go out for coke slurpees! one of us can wait in the car while the other runs into the impossible-to-park-at 7-11 in scarsdale. elizabeth and brooke are definitely invited as well!

I'm in! The other day I got a pepsi icee (its rare that our target has acceptable icee consistency) and was really enjoying it until Tate bogarted it. do we know if they contain inappropriate amounts of caffeine for a 3 year old? oh well.
